At night, the Russian army made a large-scale attempt to strike Ukrainian territory. According to a report from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the enemy launched two missiles and 151 attack drones. In response to the aggression, the country's comprehensive defense system was activated.

Scale of the Defense

To neutralize the threat, all available resources were mobilized: aviation, air defense missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned system operators, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces. As of 07:30, the air defense system demonstrated high efficiency.

Air defense shot down or suppressed an Kh-59 air-to-surface missile and 130 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Among the destroyed targets were drones of the "Shahed", "Gerbera", "Italmas" types and other models. The engagements took place in the north, south, and east of the country.

Consequences and Current Situation

Despite the active work of the air defense, some drones broke through. It is known that 17 attack drones hit 16 different locations. Debris from shot-down targets fell on 4 territories. Information about the exact location of the ballistic missile impact is being clarified. At this time, there is no official data on damage and casualties resulting from the night strike.

Air defenders report that the attack is ongoing and enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Civilians are urged to strictly observe safety rules.

Strikes on Critical Infrastructure

Earlier, RBK-Ukraine reported on specific consequences of the attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Russian occupiers struck five gas stations with drones. In addition, an electric locomotive was hit. Railway workers took all necessary measures to save the lives of passengers.

There is also information about the real consequences of the strike on Kyiv, in particular, in the "Darnytsia" district. The situation on the ground remains tense, and air defense forces continue to work to protect the sky.
