# 12 'Shadow Fleet' Tankers in 24 Hours: Massive Strikes on Russia's Logistics and Energy Sector

Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) have recorded unprecedented activity during maritime operations. According to USF Commander Robert Brovdi, known by the callsign "Madyar," the number of strikes against Russia's "shadow fleet" tankers in a single day reached 12 units.

### Attack in the Sea of Azov

The main blow struck the waters of the Sea of Azov. In his Telegram channel, Brovdi reported that USF pilots, known as "Ptaхи USF" (Birds of USF), struck two more vessels, bringing the daily total to ten destroyed tankers in this region. The commander called this a "spoiler" and confirmed that a total of 12 vessels were hit within the current 24-hour period.

Particular attention was paid to the eighth tanker, which was struck at night. According to intelligence, the vessel is named MS IVAN CHEREMISINOV. The strike was carried out by pilots Kairos 414 from the "Madyar's Birds" unit during a naval combat session.

### Strikes on Energy Infrastructure

Parallel to maritime operations, drones continued to strike land-based infrastructure. During the day, five substations and one gas distribution station (GDS) in Crimea were hit. A gas compressor station in the settlement of Tasunovo was also targeted.

Statistics show a high intensity of attacks on the peninsula's power grid:

- From July 1 to July 7, "Birds of USF" struck 44 energy nodes in Crimea and the southern part of the territory occupied by the Russian Federation.

- Since the beginning of July 2026, Ukrainian drones have destroyed 37 energy facilities in Crimea and the Donbas.

### Results of Night Operations

On the night of July 7, Ukrainian drones carried out a large-scale operation during which the following were struck:

- 8 fuel tankers;

- 1 cargo ship;

- 1 "shadow fleet" ferry of the Russian Federation.

All the listed vessels are under international sanctions, confirming their status as participants in the "shadow fleet" used to bypass restrictions.
