On June 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the launch of a large-scale 40-day operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The goal of the special operation was to force Russia into peace through the systematic destruction of the enemy's military and economic potential. During this period, Ukrainian intelligence agencies, together with other defense forces, delivered a series of deep strikes against infrastructure supporting the functioning of the Russian army and industry.

RBC-Ukraine has prepared a full chronology of events, demonstrating how, over a month and a half, key nodes of logistics, the fuel and energy complex, and military infrastructure on the territory of the Russian Federation and occupied regions were struck.

### Start of the operation: strikes on Crimea and energy infrastructure

The first days of the operation were marked by pinpoint strikes on strategic objects. Already on June 26, two Russian military support cable ships — "Volga" and "Vyatka" — as well as the cargo-passenger ferry "Petrozavodsk" at the "Zaliv" shipyard in Kerch were struck. On the same day, weapons and radar stations of the S-400 complex were destroyed.

On June 27, drones attacked the "Vtorovo" oil pumping station in the Vladimir region, which plays a key role in supplying fuel to Moscow and export ports. The next day, June 28, a joint strike was delivered on the "Slavyansk" oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai, where the tank farm and processing units caught fire.

### Fighters and airfields: a series of strikes on Crimea

In early July, the focus shifted to aviation infrastructure. On July 1, the "Saki" air base in Crimea was attacked. Five direct hits were confirmed, including on hangars where Su-30 and Su-30SM fighters were stationed. On July 3, a second strike followed on this airfield: seven hangars with Su-30SM, Su-30, and Su-24 fighters were struck. Simultaneously, hangars with "Shahed" kamikaze drones were attacked at the "Gvardeyskoye" airfield.

### Massive attacks on refineries and the "shadow fleet"

July 6 became the day of a massive attack on the fuel and energy complex. The Yaroslavl Refinery, the oil terminal in Vyatskoye (Leningrad region), and the "First Plant" refinery in the Kaluga region were hit. In Crimea, "Pantsir-S2" air defense systems, an oil depot in Kerch, and the "Gvardeyskoye" airfield were struck.

Special attention was paid to the destruction of Russian "shadow fleet" tankers. On July 8, the Sea Baby sea drone struck the "Blue" tanker near Yalta. On July 16, "Mamai" drones destroyed two more ships — "Louise 1" and "Banda". On July 19, the "Avero" tanker was struck, as well as three oil depots in the Stavropol Krai.

### Strikes deep into Russian territory

The operation demonstrated the ability to strike at enormous distances. On July 2, a joint strike was delivered on the Nizhny Novgorod Refinery and the "Starolikyevo" station (850 km from the border). On July 24, the "Subkhankulovo" oil pumping station in Bashkortostan (1350 km) and the "Novospassky" mini-refinery were struck.

On July 29, a primary processing unit at one of Russia's largest refineries — "Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez" (more than 1500 km from Ukraine) — was hit. On July 31, the Volgograd Refinery was struck jointly with the Defense Forces. On August 1, a cluster of three refineries in Ufa ("Bashneft-UNPZ", "Bashneft-Novoyl", "Bashneft-Ufaneftechim"), located 1600 km from the border, was attacked.

### Destruction of strategic assets and logistics

On July 17, one of the most resonant incidents occurred: a Tu-95 strategic bomber was destroyed at the "Engels" airfield (the tail section was torn off). On July 20, 13 SBU drones hit the FSB coordination center at a sanatorium in the Kherson region, where about 100 occupiers were located.

Simultaneously, the SBU operated with missile troops, artillery, and special forces. On June 27, the "Titan-Barricades" plant in Volgograd, which produces launchers for "Iskander-M" and "Topol-M", was struck. On July 1, the JSC "Research Institute of Physical Measurements" in the Penza region, which produces sensors for "Iskander", "Kalibr", and Kh-101 missiles, was attacked.

The enemy's logistical chains were disrupted by strikes on bridges in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk regions, and Crimea at the end of June. On July 4, the "Saint Petersburg" oil terminal and the Baltic Fleet base "Kronstadt" were struck.

Over 40 days of the SBU operation and the Ukrainian Defense Forces demonstrated the ability to systematically deplete the enemy's resources by striking critical infrastructure in various regions of Russia.
