Ukraine's state budget has received a major tranche of financial assistance from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). The amount of funds is nearly $600 million. These resources will be directed exclusively to financing social payments for citizens in need of support.

This information was confirmed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Sviridenko. According to her, the receipt of funds became possible thanks to the government fulfilling all necessary project conditions.

### Financing Structure and International Guarantees

The total volume of the project, known as SPIRIT, amounts to $880 million. The current tranche received by the budget is formed from two major parts with the involvement of international guarantees:

    - $300 million — with the support of guarantees from Japan.

    - $298.75 million — with the support of bilateral guarantees from the Government of the United Kingdom.

According to official statements, these funds have a strictly civilian purpose. Their use for military purposes is categorically prohibited.

### Who and What the Money Will Go To

The receipt of $600 million will allow for payments to more than one million Ukrainians. The financing will cover 18 different types of social benefits and payments. This is critically important for maintaining the standard of living of the population under current conditions.

Special attention is paid to supporting vulnerable categories of citizens. For example, non-working pensioners who support incapacitated family members are entitled to additional financial assistance. The amount of such a supplement is nearly 1,300 hryvnias per dependent.

### Current News for Citizens

In addition to the receipt of international aid, the government has clarified the situation with the "National Cashback" program. Funds accumulated by Ukrainians under this program before June 30 will remain available for use after July 1. Furthermore, payments for April will begin in the coming days.
