- Since the beginning of the year, the capital has transferred over 52,000 drones, EW systems, and robotics to the military.

On the eve of Ukraine's Defenders Day, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko held an official award ceremony for military personnel, veterans, and their families. The event became a significant milestone for the capital's community, which has actively supported the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine since the very first days of the full-scale invasion. During his speech, the head of the capital announced massive figures reflecting the true scale of the city's residents' participation in combat operations.

According to Vitali Klitschko, currently about 200,000 Kyiv residents with weapons in their hands are defending the state's sovereignty and territorial integrity on the frontline. Hundreds of thousands of the capital's residents left their usual jobs, families, and comfortable homes to stand up for Ukraine. The mayor emphasized the resilience of the Ukrainian people, noting that despite all hardships and fierce battles, Ukrainians do not surrender and continue the fight for their independent future.

### Frontline support and provision for defenders

In addition to moral recognition of merits, the Kyiv city authorities systematically back up gratitude with real deeds and material-technical assistance. The mayor summarized the community's work in supplying the frontline since the beginning of the current year. It is reported that the capital has transferred more than 52,000 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, modern electronic warfare (EW) systems, advanced ground-based robotic complexes, and other critically important equipment needed at the frontline.

### Development of veteran infrastructure in the capital

A separate area of work for the city administration is the creation of a comprehensive support system for veterans and their families. Kyiv is actively developing assistance infrastructure, which includes financial payments, medical and psychological rehabilitation programs, legal consultations, and assistance in professional training and employment. A key element of this ecosystem has become the Kyiv Military Hub, which provides comprehensive support to demobilized soldiers.
