# Adam Szlapka Accuses Polish Right-Wing of Inciting Hate Against Ukrainians

A sharp political conflict has erupted in Poland against the backdrop of a rising number of attacks on Ukrainian citizens. Adam Szlapka, a representative of the country's government, publicly stated that the escalation of violence is directly linked to the rhetoric and actions of right-wing politicians. In his view, it is they who have created an atmosphere of impunity in society.

### Atmosphere of Impunity and Radicalization

Szlapka voiced harsh criticism against the "United Right" camp. He accused this political force of creating conditions in which aggression against Ukrainians becomes acceptable. The government spokesperson emphasized that the leader of the Law and Justice party, Jarosław Kaczyński, has effectively brought representatives of radical groups into Polish politics.

According to Szlapka, some right-wing politicians are increasingly using arguments close to those of the ultra-right nationalist with pro-Russian views, Grzegorz Braun. "All these are actions that, in the public sphere, effectively give permission for hate," summarized the government representative.

### Criticism of the President's Position

Szlapka was particularly outraged by the behavior of the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki. Earlier, the office of the head of state stated that the government was unable to solve the problem of rising aggression. In response, Szlapka accused Nawrocki of ignoring recent cases of violence, calling such behavior "barbaric actions".

"Their consequences are very cruel, but we will fight this with uncompromising determination," promised the spokesperson, insisting that responsibility for the climate of hate lies with specific political players.

### Background of Escalation: Attack in Wrocław

The polemical exchange of remarks took place against the backdrop of real tragic events. On July 27, in the Polish city of Wrocław, a group of young people brutally beat a Ukrainian woman and her boyfriend. The incident attracted public attention and became a catalyst for new accusations against the opposition. Subsequently, the police detained suspects in the attack on the Ukrainian couple, however, the political resonance from this has not subsided.
