# African heatwave in Ukraine: on June 29, temperatures will rise to +38°C with no rain

On June 29, Ukraine is facing a powerful heatwave. Meteorologists forecast that in several regions, thermometer readings will rise to critical levels of +38 degrees. At the same time, no saving rain is expected on this day — the sky will be clear, and the air dry.

### Temperature map: where it will be hottest

According to data from the Ukrainian Hydrometcenter, published by RBC-Ukraine, the weather in the country will be unevenly distributed. The most severe conditions are expected on the Right Bank. In most areas of this part of the country, daytime air temperatures will reach 35–38°C. This is the classic “African” heat that meteorologists warned about in advance.

In eastern Ukraine, the weather will be somewhat milder. There, daytime warming is expected to reach 25–30°C. In other regions of the country, temperatures will be 29–34°C. The sky will be covered with slight cloudiness, but precipitation is not forecast in any of the regions.

### Situation in Kyiv and the region

The capital and Kyiv region are also under the influence of a hot anticyclone. In Kyiv today, slight cloudiness is expected, but no rain will fall. Residents of the metropolis should prepare for high temperatures and increased insolation.

### Warning about peak values

Experts remind that the current heatwave is only part of a general process. Earlier, meteorologists already reported on the African heatwave approaching Ukraine, warning that in certain regions, temperatures could reach extreme levels of +40 degrees. Citizens are advised to take precautionary measures: drink more fluids, avoid being in the open sun during peak hours, and monitor their well-being.
