# A Single Fist: How the Ukrainian Armed Forces Unified All Forces for a Systemic Strike Against Russia

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have officially confirmed the creation of a new structural unit designed to coordinate all strikes against Russian territory. The new Long-Range (Global) Influence Command will serve as a single command center for assets striking at long range. Spokesperson of the General Staff of the AFU, Dmytro Lykhovyi, shared details about the reorganization and the goals of the new body.

### From Dispersed Strikes to a Unified Strategy

According to the General Staff representative, the Ukrainian army has been conducting systematic attacks on the operational and strategic depth of the enemy for a long time. However, the scale of these operations is constantly growing, which required a change in management approach. Lykhovyi noted that a decision was made to take the organization of this activity to a qualitatively new level.

The essence of the changes lies in the transition from dispersed high-precision strikes to a single long-term strategy. Concentrating all capabilities for long-range fire strikes into one management system will allow for the sequential and comprehensive destruction of the most important elements of the enemy's military and economic potential. Official Kyiv claims that this approach will yield results unachievable when forces are applied separately.

### Composition of the New Command

It is important to understand that this is not about creating new military units from scratch, but about subordination of already existing, most effective units. The Command will include:

    - Units of long-range strike unmanned systems;

    - Missile units;

    - Marine unmanned systems;

    - Support, logistics, and maintenance units.

In addition, strike UAV units of other components of the Defense Forces will be under operational subordination. This will allow the creation of an inter-agency group acting according to a single concept and plan.

### Political Leadership and Goals

The decision to create the command was a response to the rapid scaling of Deep Strike operations. On July 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the creation of this body. The head of state emphasized that the leadership of the new direction will be entrusted to a strong and highly experienced commander.

This step is a continuation of the course to increase pressure on Russia. Earlier, on June 25, Zelenskyy approved a 40-day influence operation for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on the aggressor state with the aim of urging it to end the war. Now, with the creation of a single command, the country's military and intelligence potential will work in tandem to achieve strategic goals.
