## 🎯 Key Points

- Agit Kabayel repeatedly tried to arrange a fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
- The German boxer personally approached the Ukrainian in Egypt and via social media.
- Kabayel decided to focus on his own career after the potential fight fell through.

German boxer Agit Kabayel has openly shared his numerous attempts to secure an official bout against WBC heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk. Despite ambitious plans and public callouts, the long-awaited meeting in the ring never materialized into concrete negotiations between the athletes' teams.

### Attempts to capture the champion's attention

According to the German heavyweight, he utilized various media and personal tools to reach out to the Ukrainian boxer. Kabayel actively used social media, recorded video messages on Instagram, and personally initiated contact at every available opportunity. As the athlete noted in an interview with the reputable publication The Ring, he did absolute everything in his power to convince Usyk's team to give him a shot at the championship title.

### Personal encounter in Egypt

One of the most striking episodes in the quest to arrange the fight was Kabayel's trip to Egypt. There, the German boxer approached Usyk directly after a boxing event and personally raised the question of a potential showdown. However, even a face-to-face conversation failed to yield the desired outcome, remaining without official follow-up from the Ukrainian side.

### Next steps and focusing on career

Following a series of unsuccessful attempts to negotiate a fight with the Ukrainian champion, Agit Kabayel decided to redirect all resources toward developing his own athletic career. The boxer emphasized that he had exhausted all available methods and no longer intends to waste time waiting for answers, focusing instead on current title defenses and new challenges in the heavyweight division.### Contradictory data

While Kabayel claims persistent efforts to secure the fight and being ignored by Usyk's team, independent experts and sources note the complex dynamics of negotiations at the level of leading global promotional companies. Specifically, there are differing interpretations of the WBC mandatory title defense schedules, which could have served as a key bureaucratic obstacle to organizing this bout before it could take real shape.
