WBC heavyweight world champion Agit Kabayel has officially determined his opponent for his first championship title defense. The German boxer, holding an undefeated professional record, will face the undefeated Albanian heavyweight Nelson Hysa in the ring. The upcoming event is already generating immense interest among combat sports fans worldwide due to the high intrigue and ambitions of both athletes.

### Details and Date of the Long-Awaited Bout

The boxing event is organized by the prominent British promotional company Queensberry Promotions. The global sports show will take place on November 28 at the multi-thousand-seat Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany. Boxing fans will be able to watch the tournament live via the DAZN streaming platform, which holds exclusive rights to broadcast this large-scale sports event.

For 33-year-old Agit Kabayel (27-0, 19 KOs), this fight will mark a milestone in his career—his first defense of the full WBC title. The German athlete secured this prestigious belt after Ukrainian undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk voluntarily relinquished part of his titles, paving the way for new division leaders.

### Controversial Data

The announcement of the large-scale show was preceded by a serious information conflict and contradictory statements in the media. Prominent promoter Frank Warren previously claimed publicly that the Albanian side had allegedly refused to accept the proposed fight citing various difficulties. However, 42-year-old Nelson Hysa strongly denied these rumors, issuing a sharp statement and confirming his readiness to immediately disclose details of the already signed contract. Following the public resolution of the misunderstanding, Agit Kabayel also confirmed his 100% readiness to enter the ring.

### Challenger's Path and Context of the Fight

Despite his solid age of 42, Nelson Hysa (25-0, 23 KOs) remains an undefeated boxer, although he started his professional career relatively recently, in 2022. Currently, the Albanian holds the prestigious WBO Global heavyweight belt. Throughout 2026, Hysa has fought only one official bout, brightly performing in August by defeating Norwegian Thomas Narmo via technical knockout in the second round. The upcoming fight against Kabayel will be the veteran's first career opportunity to win a full world championship title.
