Madrid's Real Madrid has officially announced the end of its partnership with Ukrainian center Alex Len. The club and the basketball player have agreed to terminate the contract early by mutual consent. This was reported by the press service of the Spanish giant, as cited by RBC-Ukraine.

### Details of the contract termination

The 33-year-old Len joined the "Royal Club" in October of last year, ending his journey in the NBA. Initially, the agreement was calculated until June 30, 2027. However, the document contained an option allowing "the whites" to terminate the contract early upon payment of compensation. Insiders also note that the contract provided for the possibility of termination in the event of the Ukrainian's return to the American league. It is currently unclear which side exactly initiated the termination of cooperation.

In the official statement from Real Madrid, it is stated: "We wish Alex and his entire family luck at this new stage of life". The club thanked the basketball player for the time spent in the team.

The final stretch of the season for the Ukrainian went badly due to health problems. At the end of the playing year, Len suffered a serious injury, which caused him to miss the decisive matches of the season: the EuroLeague Final Four and the Spanish championship playoffs.
