## 🎯 Key Points

- The names of the author and reader remain secret for now.

The All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity in 2026 will take place on Tuesday, October 27, on the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language. This large-scale annual flashmob unites millions of Ukrainians both inside the country and far beyond its borders, strengthening cultural ties and supporting national identity amidst modern challenges.

### Where and How to Listen to the Broadcast

The large-scale event will be broadcast live across all key platforms of Suspilne Movлення. The organizers ensure maximum accessibility: participants can join via Ukrainian Radio and Radio Kultura, Suspilne TV channels, and official digital platforms on social media and YouTube. According to Dmytro Khorkin, a board member of Suspilne Movлення, the radio dictation has long evolved beyond a simple literacy test into a powerful symbol of unity for all Ukrainian speakers.

### History and Continuity of Traditions

This wonderful tradition was established by the Ukrainian Radio team back in 2000. Over a quarter of a century, the project has grown into one of the largest Ukrainian-language flashmobs in the world. Organizers annually invite prominent writers to create a unique text and distinguished cultural figures to read it.

### The Mystery of the Year: Author and Reader

As of late September 2026, the identity of the text's author and the person who will read it live has not yet been disclosed by the organizers. It is expected to be revealed on Ukrainian Radio closer to the event date. By comparison, in 2025, the poignant text "We Must Live!" was written by author Yevheniia Kuznetsova and read live by People's Artist of Ukraine Natalia Sumska, generating an overwhelmingly positive public response.

### Participant Geography and Text Verification

The project consistently demonstrates impressive reach. Last year, over 11,200 texts were submitted for verification. While the vast majority of participants emailed their work for prompt processing, traditional paper letters arrived from various corners of the globe, including Italy, the USA, and Belgium, highlighting the global scale of the Ukrainian diaspora.
