# Allseeds halts operations in Odesa: how strikes on ports paralyze vegetable oil exports

Allseeds, one of the largest players in Ukraine's agro-industrial market, has decided to suspend operations at its production facilities in the Odesa region. This strategic move comes amid escalating military threats and regular Russian army strikes on the region's port infrastructure.

According to RBC-Ukraine, citing an official company statement, the holding's management acknowledged that the current situation creates critical risks. The document emphasizes that continuing operations under these conditions endangers the lives and safety of personnel, as well as the integrity of production assets.

### Prioritizing safety and preserving potential

The Allseeds statement notes that this decision was not made thoughtlessly, but with the primary necessity of protecting human resources in mind. The company intends to preserve its production infrastructure and operational potential to enable a rapid resumption of work once the situation stabilizes.

The suspension of activities will take place strictly in accordance with the requirements of current Ukrainian legislation. This implies maintaining all necessary resources and legally documenting the enterprise's status, which will help minimize losses during the production restart.

### Collapsing sea exports

The decision by Allseeds is a logical consequence of a general logistics crisis. Ukrainian sea exports have effectively halted due to systematic attacks on ports and foreign commercial vessels. The Odesa region has been under constant pressure for the third week: at least 10 air alarms are declared daily in the region, during which Russian forces strike port terminals and urban infrastructure with missiles and drones.

The situation is exacerbated by the reaction of the international community. Shipowners of several foreign companies have suspended applications to enter Ukrainian ports. The reasons include concerns for the safety of crews, the risk of ship damage in combat zones, and colossal insurance risks that make commercial transportation economically unviable and dangerous.
