## 🎯 Key Points

- The series 'Neagley' has been officially renewed for a second season on Amazon Prime Video.
- The show attracted 40 million viewers within the first 13 days of its release.
- Maria Sten stars in the lead role; the project is a spin-off of 'Reacher'.

Streaming service Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the renewal of the detective series 'Neagley' for a second season. The project, which serves as a spin-off to the popular show 'Reacher', demonstrated impressive viewer interest from its very first days of release, prompting platform management to quickly greenlight a continuation. Actress Maria Sten returns in the lead role, having already won the hearts of the franchise's fans.

### A Phenomenal Start on Prime Video

Within the first 13 days of its official premiere on Prime Video, the new show attracted over 40 million unique viewers worldwide. Notably, the audience was split almost evenly: half of the views came from the US, while the other half originated from international markets, including key regions such as the UK, Germany, and Brazil. These impressive figures secured the series the fourth spot in the overall ranking of the most successful premieres in the streaming service's history.

### The Secret of Success and Expanding the Universe

The success of 'Neagley' proves that high-quality detective stories within Lee Child's literary universe can attract massive audiences even without the constant presence of the original books' main protagonist. Creators note that the project won over viewers through its fast-paced narrative, strong detective intrigue, and the charismatic lead performance. Renewing the series for a second season opens up new prospects for developing the television universe and expanding the story arcs of supporting characters.

### Contradictory Data

Despite official and triumphant figures reporting 40 million viewers in the first two weeks, expert communities and trade media continue to debate streaming platforms' viewership calculation methodologies. While Amazon representatives insist on the objectivity of metrics tracking completed episodes, independent analysts point out discrepancies in how different services define a 'unique viewer.' Nevertheless, even skeptics acknowledge the project's commercial success and high demand among Prime Video subscribers globally.
