# Andriy Yuskov: The Kremlin is losing control, while the '1000 for 1000' exchange continues

During the international forum "Architecture of Security", Andriy Yuskov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, outlined key points regarding the current state of the conflict. According to him, the large-scale prisoner exchange in the "1000 for 1000" format, which began in May, is in an active phase, while the Russian command is facing critical problems in replenishing its ranks.

### Recruitment crisis in the occupation army

Yuskov emphasized that recruitment and mobilization efforts in Russia have not ceased since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and continue to this day. However, according to intelligence data, the scale of recruitment barely covers losses on the battlefield. Furthermore, the enemy is attempting to compensate for the lack of personnel by recruiting foreign mercenaries.

The Head of the GUR noted that this is a serious challenge for Vladimir Putin and his army. Traditional methods of replenishing ranks, such as mobilizing prisoners, penal battalions, and those owing alimony, have already been exhausted.

"Such a crisis for Putin is growing, and it is obvious that they will take additional measures," Yuskov added.

### Strikes on logistics and pressure on the Kremlin

Ukraine's security and defense forces continue to strike military targets of the enemy, including on the occupied Crimean peninsula. According to Yuskov, reports of a shortage of gasoline and diesel fuel in the region are a direct result of the successful work of Ukrainian military personnel.

This creates additional pressure on the Russian leadership, making it impossible for propaganda to claim that "everything is going according to plan".

### Psychological warfare and shelling tactics

Yuskov commented on the enemy's tactic of shifting shelling, calling it an element of psychological pressure on Ukrainians, who have already lived under conditions of war and stress for more than four years. The enemy is trying to mix military influence with information pressure.

Nevertheless, Ukrainian military personnel are ready for any scenario. The GUR representative recommended that the civilian population take air raid alerts seriously and be ready to react immediately.

### Continuation of the prisoner exchange

Despite the fact that Russia has repeatedly disrupted or delayed agreements on the exchange, the "1000 for 1000" process continues. Negotiations have not stopped for a minute, and Ukraine is ready to fulfill its obligations, returning its defenders and civilians from Russian dungeons.

Work is also underway to free those who have been held captive since 2014 in Crimea and the Donbas. "Everyone is accounted for, the information system, the database — everything is known, legal assistance is provided where possible," Yuskov concluded.

### Failure of the Kremlin's information war

In the sphere of information warfare, Russia has moved to using new technologies, including artificial intelligence to generate fakes and conduct PSYOPs both within Ukraine and on the international arena. However, according to Yuskov, the global goals of the Kremlin's information war have completely failed.

Ukrainian society remains united in its assessment of the enemy's actions and in its support for the Security and Defense Forces. "I am convinced that we will all make sure that it remains so forever," concluded the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
