Ukrainian fitness trainer Anita Lutsenko shared footage on Instagram showing her partner, Spanish businessman Fermin Egido, learning the Ukrainian language. The lesson took place right inside a car during a joint trip: the athlete pronounced phrases while her partner tried to translate and reproduce them in Ukrainian, after which he received tips on correct pronunciation. The footage became another public confirmation that the couple is openly displaying their relationship, which Lutsenko previously kept hidden from the wider audience. ### “Soft Ukrainization”: How the learning goes In the footage published in Instagram stories, Lutsenko can be seen attentively listening to her beloved and immediately helping him correct pronunciation errors. According to Styler (a RBC-Ukraine project), the first “lessons” consisted of basic introductory phrases, though the Spaniard encountered difficulties with the pronunciation of certain words, which the trainer softly corrected. Followers dubbed the scene “soft Ukrainization in action,” noting the cozy and informal atmosphere of the learning process on the road. ### Mutual interest: The trainer is learning Spanish The linguistic interest within the couple turned out to be mutual. While Fermin Egido masters Ukrainian, Anita Lutsenko herself is studying Spanish in parallel, according to media reports. Thus, both partners are taking steps toward each other not only on a personal level but also culturally, which observers note is typical for relationships where partners live or spend long periods in different language environments. ### Chronology: From first glimpses to open confirmation The public history of the relationship developed in stages. In September 2026, Lutsenko first intrigued followers with shared photos with the Spaniard taken in Kyiv, though she did not disclose details of her personal life at the time. On October 16, 2026, she openly confirmed the romance by publishing a romantic photo shoot with her beloved: the pictures show the couple hugging and spending time together in the capital of Ukraine. Prior to this, according to available data, Anita was in a long-term relationship with Oleksandr Lozovtsov, with whom she has a daughter, Mia; she publicly announced her split from her former partner in late 2025. According to several publications, the 42-year-old athlete lived in Spain for some time with her daughter, where she likely met Egido. ### Who is Fermin Egido and his connection to Ukraine Fermin Egido is a Spanish businessman, founder, and CEO of the international project OCEANMAN, which organizes open water swimming competitions. He has repeatedly visited Ukraine and supported the local sports community. In 2024, following competitions in Kyiv, he thanked Ukrainian organizers, volunteers, and athletes defending the country, and also honored the memory of fallen swimmers. In 2026, OCEANMAN once again held competitions in Kyiv, and the organization helps Ukrainian veterans participate in international swims. Egido spoke about his support for Ukraine and the role of sports in veteran rehabilitation in August 2026. ### Context: Why this matters For Lutsenko, who previously stated publicly that after past breakups she no longer expected to find love again, the new relationship has become a notable turning point in her personal life and a subject of active audience interest. For Egido and his OCEANMAN project, presence in Ukraine and public support for the country's sports community remain part of long-term activities, and the linguistic “lessons” within the couple have become a symbolic gesture of integration and mutual respect for each other's culture. ## Fact-Check & Sources - [Анита Луценко показала, как учит своего любимого-испанца украинскому (видео)](https://www.rbc.ua/ukr/styler/anita-lutsenko-pokazala-k-navchae-svogo-kohanogo-1792421681.html) - Primary source: details of the car video lesson, mutual language learning, chronology (September 2026, October 16, 2026), previous relationship with Lozovtsov and daughter Mia, Egido's biography and OCEANMAN. - [Мягкая украинизация: Анита Луценко на милых кадрах учит своего возлюбленного-испанца ...](https://24tv.ua/show24/ru/anita-lucenko-pokazala-svoego-vozljublennogo-ispanca-trenerka_n3163469) - Confirms the car video lesson, age 42, assumption of meeting in Spain, Egido's role as OCEANMAN CEO. - [Возлюбленный Аниты Луценко из Испании учит украинский язык: тренер показала его первые успехи ...](https://www.obozrevatel.com/section-shou-oboz/news-kokhanyy-anity-lutsenko-z-ispaniyi-vchyt-ukrayinsku-movu-trenerka-pokazala-yoho-pershi-uspikhy-video-19-10-2026.html) - Confirms the learning process and early successes; mentions basic introductory phrases and pronunciation difficulties. - [Анита Луценко впервые показала своего нового возлюбленного (фото)](https://www.unian.net/lite/stars/anita-lucenko-sportsmenka-zakrutila-novyy-roman-i-pokazala-svoego-izbrannika-13499190.html) - Confirms the publication of new photos of the partner and romantic frames after the breakup. ## FAQ ### Who is Fermin Egido?
