In California, just two days before the scheduled visit of US President Donald Trump, police arrested an armed man on the grounds of the elite Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes. The incident occurred on the eve of a closed fundraising event for the Republican National Committee.

### Suspicious Behavior and Arrest

The attention of law enforcement was drawn to Janine John Taale, a 38-year-old resident of Downey. For several consecutive days, he had been in close proximity to the club, actively photographing and filming the area. Investigators believe the man was observing security preparations in anticipation of the head of state's arrival.

At the time of the arrest, a 16-round magazine loaded with expanding bullets was found on the suspect. In his car parked nearby, police officers found a loaded pistol with a round in the chamber and another loaded magazine.

### Search and Arsenal

After the arrest, operatives conducted a search of the man's home, the results of which caused serious concern for the investigation. In Taale's residence, the following were seized:

- Several firearms, including illegally modified models;

- A large quantity of ammunition;

- Bulletproof vests;

- Radio communication devices;

- Notebooks with notes, the content of which law enforcement deemed alarming.

It was established that the man already has a criminal record and was involved in another criminal case related to robbery. He was charged with illegal possession of firearms, possession of prohibited ammunition, and concealed carry of a firearm. At the court hearing, Taale did not plead guilty.

### Investigation and Security Threat

Investigative agencies are determining whether the incident was linked to a direct threat to the head of the White House. At present, no signs of an attempted assassination have been found, and authorities emphasize that they do not have data indicating a real threat to the president or the public. Nevertheless, the investigation continues in light of previous incidents related to Donald Trump's security, including the 2024 assassination attempts, after which his protective measures were significantly strengthened.
