Ukrainian actor Artemiy Yegorov, known for his roles in the series «Alone with Glamour», «Puppies», and «The Neighbor», has spoken for the first time about the reasons that prompted him to officially register his relationship with his beloved. Despite the couple being together for 16 years, the decision to get married was made only after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

### The reason that changed everything

According to information published by RBC-Ukraine, Yegorov did not see the point in marriage for a long time. However, the geopolitical situation forced him to reconsider his views. In a comment, the star admitted that the main motive was the need to legally secure the rights of his chosen one.

«I had to, so that if I die, everything would go to her. Only for these reasons», — the actor noted.

### A modest ceremony without a surname

The artist's wedding took place in a minimalist format — just the two of them. Notably, his wife, Elena Timkova, did not take her husband's surname. According to Yegorov, this decision was dictated by modern realities, not a desire to keep a secret.

«God, this is some kind of antiquity already. Who needs this?» — he remarked, talking about changing surnames.

### 15 years difference and skeptics

It is no secret that Elena is 15 years older than Artemiy. Over the years of their life together, the couple has heard many predictions about an imminent breakup. However, as the actor himself emphasizes, all «bets» against their love turned out to be losing ones.

«We just started dating there: „Listen, they will break up in a year“. Five years pass: „Well, he will soon dump her“. 10 years pass: „Well, right now, right now“. 15 years... In these bets, I win», — Yegorov emphasized.

### The path from theater to cinema

Artemiy Yegorov was born on November 30, 1990, in Odesa. His career began in the theater, from where he moved to cinema. Viewers know him for such works as «Train on December 31», «Time Will Show», «Hutsul Ranger» and «Major Skovoroda».
