# Artemy Lebedev's Apartment in Central Kyiv: From a 'Frozen' Interior to an Auction for the Restoration of the Country

On June 30, 2026, one of the apartments of Russian blogger and designer Artemy Lebedev, located in the historic center of Kyiv, will be put up for public auction. This was announced by the head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU), Dmytro Natalukha, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

### Historical Address and Condition of the Property

The property is located at 8 Yaroslaviv Val Street — in close proximity to the Golden Gates, one of the main symbols of ancient Kyiv. According to Natalukha, who personally inspected the apartment before preparing it for sale, the premises have not been altered during the years of seizure: books, posters, crockery, and other personal belongings of the former owner remained in their places, covered in dust.

"Every hryvnia the state earns from its sale will be used to restore this justice," emphasized the head of the SPFU, referring to compensation for the losses of Ukrainians whose housing was destroyed or seized during the Russian aggression.

### Starting Price and Legal History

The apartment area is 138.5 m². The starting price at the auction is 10,583,400 hryvnias. This is not the only property of Lebedev confiscated by Ukraine: in July 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court satisfied the claim of the Ministry of Justice and collected two apartments in Kyiv in favor of the state — one directly owned by Lebedev, the other through business partner Konstantin Morshnev (area 193.2 m²).

In September 2023, the government transferred these assets to the SPFU for further privatization or leasing. All proceeds from the sale of sanctioned property are directed to the Fund for the Elimination of Consequences of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

### Who is Artemy Lebedev?

Artemy Lebedev is a Russian designer, entrepreneur, and blogger, founder and CEO of the WebDesign studio (later renamed Artemy Lebedev Studio). His audience on social networks exceeds half a million people, and he actively uses this platform to spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda.

His entry into Ukraine was banned back in 2017 — after he publicly called the Russian occupation of Crimea "perfect." Since 2022, he has been under international sanctions.

In June 2022, Lebedev illegally entered the territory of the Zaporizhzhia NPP and filmed a commissioned report there for Russian media. In March 2023, the SBU notified him of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — for justifying, recognizing as legitimate, and denying the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine.

### What's Next?

The auction on June 30 will be the first step towards the realization of one of the most notable assets confiscated from a Russian propagandist. The sale of the apartment will not only replenish the restoration fund budget but also become a symbol that even the most influential figures supporting aggression bear the material consequences of their actions.
