# Ballistic strike on Bucha district: six killed at training ground in Kyiv region

On Friday, July 24, Russia launched a ballistic strike on the territory of the Kyiv region. The most serious damage was recorded in the Bucha district. Preliminary data indicate that six people were killed in the attack, with dozens injured of varying severity.

### Strike on a private training ground

The missiles hit the territory of a private training ground where events were taking place at the time of the attack. Yuriy Ignat, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force, stated during a televised marathon that two ballistic missiles were fired at the target. All emergency services are currently working at the scene, and efforts to mitigate the consequences of the strike are ongoing.

### Ukrainian side's response

The Ukrainian Council of Arms Dealers stated that it was not the organizer of the event but is maintaining contact with colleagues and providing them with necessary assistance. The location of the participants was not publicly disclosed.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described Russia's actions as "a continuation of killings" and emphasized that the number one priority for protecting citizens remains the Patriot air defense systems.
