Barcelona has officially announced the extension of the contract with its Brazilian winger Raphinha. The new agreement, which the Catalan club reported on its social media, runs until June 30, 2030. Thus, the 29-year-old footballer is guaranteed to remain with the "Blaugrana" at least until the summer of 2030, putting to rest any questions about the future for both the club and the player for the next few years. This was reported by Sport RBC.UA, citing Barcelona's official Instagram account. ### Official announcement and agreement details The Catalan club publicly confirmed the agreement with the player by publishing a statement on its social media platforms. The club's wording is unequivocal: Raphinha will continue to play for Barcelona under a new contract, which expires on June 30, 2030. For a club that has been actively strengthening its squad in recent years and relies on the long-term stability of key players, this extension secures one of the most prolific performers in the current squad for several seasons and removes risks associated with potential transfers amid the Brazilian's rising market value. ### Record form in the 2026/27 season The contract extension comes against the backdrop of a highly productive 2026/27 season for Raphinha. He has already recorded 19 goals and three assists. Of these, the Brazilian scored 15 goals in the Spanish championship and four in the Champions League. This combination of performance across the two main tournaments underscores that the winger is not just a statistical contributor, but a player who consistently influences match outcomes in both the national league and European competitions. This form, in essence, became the main argument in favor of a long-term contract. ### Journey from Leeds and accumulated statistics Raphinha joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022, transferring from England's Leeds United for a fee close to 60 million euros. Since then, the Brazilian has played 190 matches for the Catalans, scoring 94 goals and providing 62 assists. These figures demonstrate that over four seasons, the winger has developed into one of the team's most productive players in terms of goal-to-assist ratio, becoming a true leader of the attack rather than just a reinforcement. ### Captain's armband and team role Today, the 29-year-old winger is the captain of Barcelona, a fact confirmed on the pitch: in match photos, he appears with the captain's armband and the emblem of a five-time Champions League winner on his kit. The transition from a marquee player to the team captain is an additional signal that the club views Raphinha not only as a sporting asset but as a core leadership figure. Extending the contract until 2030 cements his role in the project for the long term and allows Barcelona to build its game around a stable, motivated captain who has already proven his worth. ## Fact-Check & Sources - [Остается в "Барселоне" до 2030 года: клуб продлил контракт со звездным нападающим](https://sport.rbc.ua/ukr/football/zalishitsya-barseloni-2030-roku-klub-prodovzhiv-1793906422.html) - Source: official Raphinha contract extension until 30.06.2030, 2026/27 season stats (19 goals, 3 assists), 190 matches/94 goals/62 assists since 2022, captain status, transfer from Leeds for ~60 million euros. - [Игрок-открытие сезона в «Барселоне» продлил контракт до 2030 года](https://www.soccer.ru/news/1438688/espart-havi-barselona) - Подтверждено по источнику soccer.ru - [«Спартак» продлил контракт с аргентинцем Эсекьелем Барко до 2030 года](https://life.ru/p/cpartak-prodlil-kontrakt-s-argentintsem-esekelem-barko-do-2030-goda) - Подтверждено по источнику life.ru ## FAQ ### Until which year did Barcelona extend Raphinha's contract?
