# Bastrykin named the Ukrainian UAV commanders arrested in absentia in Russia and pointed to NATO countries' involvement

The Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) has presented new data regarding criminal cases related to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during military operations. The information was announced by the head of the agency, Alexander Bastrykin, during a working meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

During the report, Bastrykin listed the drone models that, according to the investigation, are being used by the Ukrainian side. The list includes domestic Ukrainian developments — "Chekan", "Spis", "Bars", and "Flamingo". At the same time, the head of the ICR also stated that there were recorded facts of the use of foreign-made drones. In particular, the Swiss model "Lord" and the Australian drone "Sticker" were named.

Investigators claim that during the inspection of the sites of drone crashes and explosions, components produced in NATO countries and other countries were seized. The list of countries producing components includes the USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Turkey, as well as the Baltic states.

Particular attention in the report was paid to the personal responsibility of Ukrainian officials for the strikes carried out in the Kharkiv region. The Investigative Committee attributed the blame to specific commanders and heads of agencies. Among the suspects named are:

    - Commander of the 114th Separate Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Madjar Birds" Klemenko;

    - Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brovdi;

    - Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Ivashchenko.

Alexander Bastrykin officially reported that decisions have been made to bring Klimenko, Brovdi, and Ivashchenko to trial as accused. All three have been placed on the international wanted list and arrested in absentia.

The second participant of the meeting clarified the details of the court proceedings. The involvement of the above-mentioned persons as accused officially took place on May 27 of the current year. It was also learned that one of the suspects already has a court decision on the territory of Russia. In particular, the commander of the unmanned aviation forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brovdi was sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment.

At the time of publication of the video material, no official comments from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Main Directorate of Intelligence, as well as from the mentioned commanders regarding the statements of the ICR of Russia have been received.
