British luxury car manufacturer Bentley is preparing the industry for a real musical surprise. On the eve of the premiere of its first fully electric crossover, named Torcal, the company's engineers decided to take an unconventional path. Instead of simply imitating the hum of a familiar internal combustion engine, the brand decided to endow its electric car with the voice of a real symphony orchestra.

### From 1930s engines to a modern symphony

As reported by Autocar.co.uk, Bentley specialists conducted a comprehensive analysis of the brand's sonic heritage. The focus was on legendary supercharged engines from the 1930s, the famous 6.75-liter V8 engines, and modern V12s that have become the brand's calling card. The goal of the project was to preserve those very emotional sensations that drivers experience when accelerating in petrol models.

The result of this work is a unique sound system, which the company compares to a performance by a large orchestra. Unlike typical electric vehicles, where sound is often reduced to a set of electronic noises, Torcal uses virtual parts of live instruments. The sound landscape of the model includes not only percussion but also viola and bass guitar parts. This combination is designed to convey power and emotional depth during movement.

### Dynamics dependent on the driver

The Torcal sound system is not static. It dynamically adapts to actions behind the wheel: as speed increases, the tempo of the musical accompaniment accelerates. This approach aims to turn the silence typical of electric vehicles into a dynamic and exciting atmosphere, maintaining a connection with the brand's history.

### Design inspired by the EXP 15 concept

The appearance of the new model also carries references to the past, relying on the design of the EXP 15 concept car presented last year. Among the key exterior elements are:

- An illuminated radiator grille, which has become a modern interpretation of the classics;

- Vertical LED headlights, giving the car a recognizable silhouette;

- The "Prestige Shield" element at the rear of the body. This retro accent is a tribute to the luggage compartments of historical Bentley touring cars.

### Premiere in London

The official presentation of the Bentley Torcal is scheduled for September 23 of this year in London. It is expected that this car will become a landmark step, opening a new chapter in the brand's electrification strategy and forming a new design language. While the global market, including regions such as Uzbekistan, is showing growing interest in luxury electric vehicles, Bentley's innovative approach with its "musical" electric car has become unexpected news for fans of the brand.
