# BestsellerFest 2026: How Lviv Will Become Ukraine's Main Literary Hub

Lviv is preparing for a major cultural event: from August 7 to 9, the city will host the second summer book festival, BestsellerFest. The event, already dubbed the country's main literary center for the weekend, will take place at the !FESTrepublic venue on Staroznesenska Street.

Organizers promise a packed program: three days, over 120 events, and the participation of 50 leading publishers. This is not just a book fair, but a large-scale platform for meetings, discussions, and entertainment, where everyone will find something for themselves.

### Star-studded lineup and literary encounters

The festival program features the participation of more than 200 writers, critics, historians, and cultural figures. Among the Ukrainian authors presenting their works are Artem Chekh, Irena Karpa, Maksym Kydryuk, Yevheniya Kuznetsova, Lyuko Dashvar, Lyubko Deresh, and Volodymyr Stanchyshyn.

Special interest will be generated by the presentation of his own book by legendary boxer Wladimir Klitschko. In total, more than 70 autograph sessions, new release presentations, and professional discussions are planned, which will take place simultaneously at five locations.

### Pop culture and music

The BestsellerFest 2026 program has gone far beyond classic presentations. Three days will be dedicated to the most popular genre of modernity. This block will feature Pavlo Derevyanko, Svitlana Taratorina, Dara Korney, and other stars.

On August 8, guests are in for a themed party with a performance by the band «ROHATA ZHABA». Organizers are urging participants to come in costumes of their favorite literary or cinematic characters.

The evening program is also packed: concerts by headline acts — bands «TEMBER BLANCHE», «YAGODY», and «ROKASH», as well as DJ sets, will create the atmosphere of a real music festival.

### Forum and social mission

For the first time, a two-day forum titled «Architecture of Ukrainian Resilience» will be held as part of the book fair. Experts, military personnel, and cultural managers will discuss topical issues related to defense and state subjectivity.

The social component remains an important part of the festival. During the event, fundraising will take place for the «Azov» brigade as part of the «Eastern Barrier» campaign. For comparison: last year, 860,000 hryvnias were raised.

In addition, organizers have invited 30 librarians from all over Ukraine. The goal of this initiative is to raise funds and purchase books from the festival's TOP-20 for libraries.

### Infrastructure and comfort

The festival territory is equipped for comfortable leisure: food courts, entertainment zones for children, and spacious resting areas will be available. The location is pet-friendly, so guests can bring their pets.
