The target was the largest and most modern sorting terminal of the company "Novaposhta" in Kyiv. According to RBK-Ukraine, citing the company's operational director Yevhen Tafiychuk, the facility was completely destroyed. The terminal, which fell victim to the attack, held strategic importance for the industry: it was the first facility in Ukraine equipped with advanced automatic sorting equipment from the Dutch company Vanderlande. The Dutch contractor is considered a world leader in the field of logistics process automation. ### Years of work and investments turned to ash The scale of the loss for the company is difficult to overestimate. In his statement, Tafiychuk emphasized that not only significant financial resources but also the years-long efforts of thousands of employees were invested in the creation of this terminal. Photos published on social media demonstrate the consequences of the attack: collapsed structures, burnt remains of equipment, and smoking debris where a high-tech cargo processing system functioned just recently. Despite the scale of the destruction, the company reports an important fact: all terminal employees are safe. To minimize disruptions in the courier network, backup delivery schemes have already been launched to ensure the continuation of the service's operation under force majeure conditions. ### Results of the night attack: casualties and destruction The strike on the logistics hub was part of a broader wave of attacks launched in the night of June 15. As a result of shelling in the Kyiv region, three people were injured, including a teenager. Incidents were recorded in the Boryspil, Brovary, and Fastiv districts. The capital also bore the brunt of the attack. In Kyiv, historical and cultural objects were damaged, including the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and the Dovzhenko Film Studio. According to Ukrainian media, four people were killed and more than 20 were injured as a result of the attack on the city. Particular damage was inflicted on the Dovzhenko Film Studio. As a result of a direct hit, the costume workshop was completely destroyed. Losses are estimated in the hundreds of thousands of units: about 100,000 costumes and three million units of clothing stored in the warehouse were burned.
