# Bridge on the Mariupol-Donetsk highway destroyed: how strikes on infrastructure paralyze occupiers' logistics

During the night on temporarily occupied territories, an event occurred that significantly complicated the logistics of Russian troops. A strategically important bridge connecting Mariupol and Donetsk was destroyed. The infrastructure object, which was a key link in the supply chain, suffered critical damage, making passage across it impossible.

As reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, Petr Andryushchenko, the strike was delivered on the bridge on the N-20/R-280 highway near the village of Kremenyivka. This is not the first damage to the structure: the object already had damage, however, the night strike delivered the "finishing" blow, finally taking it out of commission.

### Logistical dead end and forced detours

Passage from Mariupol towards Donetsk through this section is completely closed. The destruction of the bridge has forced the occupation authorities to urgently reroute. The only available option for vehicle movement became a detour through the village of Kremenyivka itself.

According to estimates, the new route significantly lengthens the journey. The occupiers are forced to cover an additional 15–20 kilometers, which inevitably affects the speed of cargo delivery and the transfer of equipment. In the conditions of active hostilities, every minute of delay on the road is of critical importance.

### Systematic destruction of logistics

The strike on the bridge in Kremenyivka is not an isolated incident, but part of the systematic work of Ukrainian forces to destroy the enemy's logistical chains on occupied territories. The main goal of such operations is to complicate the supply of the Russian army on the front, disrupting the rhythm of ammunition, food, and equipment deliveries.

In recent days, there has been an increase in activity to destroy the occupiers' infrastructure. RBK-Ukraine previously reported on a series of strikes that led to panic among the occupiers. Experts note that such actions undermine confidence in the safety of rear communications, which is particularly noticeable in the example of the panic that swept Crimea after recent attacks.
