Chinese giant BYD continues to set the pace in the electric vehicle market, unveiling an updated version of the Sealion 06 crossover for the 2026 model year. The car, which has already won the hearts of Ukrainian car enthusiasts, has received significant technological upgrades, transforming from just a "good crossover" into one of the top contenders for the title of leader in its class.

### Technological Breakthrough: 5th Generation DM-i

The main trump card of the new model is the fifth-generation DM-i hybrid powertrain. Engineers have squeezed maximum efficiency out of the system: the car can now travel up to 310 kilometers on electricity alone. This allows the Sealion 06 to be used as a full-fledged electric vehicle for daily city commutes.

But the real magic happens on the highway. With a low battery charge, fuel consumption drops to a fantastic 3.3 liters per 100 km. Combined with a full tank and a charged battery, the claimed range reaches 1845 kilometers. This is a level that makes you forget about searching for gas stations and charging points on long trips.

### Comfort and Safety of a New Level

Externally, the car retains the recognizable style of the brand, but inside, a real revolution in comfort is taking place. Engineers have equipped the crossover with the DiSus-C intelligent damping control system. This is not just a "soft" suspension, but a real road scanner: the system recognizes bumps, manholes, and speed bumps in advance, instantly adjusting the stiffness of the dampers.

Safety has also reached a new level. The model features a stability control system in the event of a tire blowout. It activates in milliseconds, allowing the driver to maintain control of the car even with a punctured tire at speeds up to 140 km/h.

### Why the Sealion 06 is chosen in Ukraine

In China, the price of the novelty ranges from $19,000 to $23,500, making it extremely competitive. In Ukraine, this crossover has already become a sales leader among new Chinese cars. Buyers appreciate it for the ideal balance of price and technology, as well as for its economy, which plays a decisive role in current realities.

Statistics speak for themselves: despite a slight decrease in overall demand for Chinese cars last month, the Sealion 06 confidently holds the lead, proving that quality and innovation are still in demand.
