In the evening of June 27, a series of powerful explosions was heard in Chernihiv. The city became the target of a massive drone attack, recorded by both local residents and official sources. The situation in the region remains tense: air raid alerts continue to be in effect in several regions of Ukraine.

### Timeline of the attack and air defense operations

The first explosions in Chernihiv were heard at approximately 19:50. Over the next 20 minutes, city residents heard more than a dozen loud bangs. Local authorities responded promptly to the threat. Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of the Chernihiv Military Administration, warned citizens in his Telegram channel to seek safe shelter.

"About 10 Shaheds are flying towards the city. Air defense is currently working," the official reported at 19:57.

Personnel of the Air Force of Ukraine also confirmed the presence of enemy drones in the sky over the region. As of 20:07, several unmanned aerial vehicles were still over the city, indicating that air defense systems were continuing their work.

### Consequences of the strike

Two people were injured as a result of falling drone debris. Dmytro Bryzhynskyi clarified that they suffered shrapnel wounds. Information regarding the scale of material damage is currently being verified.

The air raid alert map as of 20:17 shows that the signal remains active not only in the Chernihiv region but also in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, indicating the scale of the enemy operation.

### Context of regular attacks

The attack on June 27 is not an isolated incident. Chernihiv is regularly subjected to strikes by Russian forces. Previously, on May 27, a drone attack was also recorded in the city, which damaged one of the industrial enterprises.

Another strike was launched on May 5. At that time, an administrative building and several cars were damaged. The media paid particular attention to the events of March 21, when in the morning Chernihiv was left completely without electricity due to strikes on the region's energy infrastructure.
