The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has officially announced that suspicions have been brought against two men. They are accused of intentional murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. ### From Monaco to Kyiv: The Suspect's Trajectory According to the investigation, Anastasia Berezovskaya returned to Ukrainian territory by bus on July 1, 2026, immediately after the incident in the Principality. The very next day, Monaco law enforcement authorities placed her on an international wanted list. Ukrainian investigators promptly tracked the woman's movements and analyzed her circle of associates after her return. During the check, law enforcement officials identified two men who were in close contact with Berezovskaya. One of them is characterized as a former law enforcement officer, while the other is a current employee of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. ### Financial Trails and Confession The main factor that prompted the investigation to focus on these men was financial transactions. It was established that both individuals repeatedly transferred money to Berezovskaya's bank and cryptocurrency accounts. This served as the basis for checking their involvement in organizing the attempted assassination in Monaco and subsequent events. During investigative actions, one of the suspects confessed to murdering the woman after her arrival in Ukraine. He also implicated his accomplice, which allowed law enforcement to reconstruct the picture of the crime. ### Body Found, Request for Detention Filed Thanks to the testimony of one of the figures, investigators conducted an experiment that led them to the place where the victim's body was hidden. On the evening of July 6, a buried female body was discovered near Kyiv. The prosecution has already filed a motion with the court requesting that both suspects be detained without bail. ### Condition of Victims in Monaco Parallel to the investigation into Berezovskaya's murder, news is also coming in regarding the condition of those injured in the attempted assassination on June 29 in Monaco. Vadim Ermolaev himself, who had been in a coma for a long time, has already regained consciousness. His companion, Anna Nasobina, remains in critical condition. Due to severe injuries, doctors were forced to amputate both of her legs. Their 13-year-old son also suffered injuries; however, according to medical reports, his life is not in danger.
