Czech authorities have completed the extradition of Marla Svenja Liebig, the former head of the neo-Nazi group Blood and Honor, to Germany. On the morning of July 15, the Czech police officially confirmed the transfer of the criminal to German authorities, where she awaits the serving of a sentence passed back in 2023. The event attracted public attention not only due to the fact of the extradition but also because of the complex gender history of the convicted individual.

### From a Male Name to a Female Prison

Until recently, the subject was known by the name Sven Liebig. In July 2023, the court found him guilty of inciting national hatred, inciting hatred, and libel. The sentence was severe: 18 months of imprisonment without the possibility of parole. However, Liebig failed to appear at the correctional facility by the appointed time and went into hiding.

A turning point in his biography was the change of gender status. In November 2024, taking advantage of the new German law on self-determination, Liebig officially changed his gender in official documents. His name is now Marla Svenja Liebig. After extradition from Czechia, she was placed in a women's prison in Chemnitz. The Chief Prosecutor of the Halle Public Prosecutor's Office, Dennis Zernota, reported that the procedure passed without incidents or resistance from Liebig.

### Arrest in Czechia

The capture of Liebig was the result of a large-scale investigation, partially conducted undercover. The arrest took place in April in the town of Krasna in western Czechia, near the border with Germany. At the time of arrest, the right-wing extremist was wearing men's clothing and had a shaved head. On June 1, a court in Pilsen authorized the extradition of Liebig to Germany based on a European arrest warrant.

### Political Resonance

The Liebig case has provoked a sharp reaction in the German political sphere. The conservative government of Germany believes that Liebig is abusing liberal self-determination legislation to secure softer conditions of detention in a women's prison. The irony of the situation lies in the fact that for decades, Liebig openly referred to trans persons as "trans-fascists" and "parasites of society".

Currently, the leadership of the Saxony prisons is deciding whether Liebig will continue to serve her sentence in Chemnitz or be transferred to another institution. Liebig's story demonstrates a complex intertwining of criminal chronicles, gender politics, and national security issues.
