## Key Points

- Roberto De Zerbi named Mudryk and Savio as players who will return after the international break.
- Previously, Mudryk's return was anticipated for the match against Crystal Palace.
- Mudryk is on loan from Chelsea (contract until June 2031) and has played one match for Tottenham against Nottingham Forest.
- The Ukrainian suffered an ankle injury and is missing Premier League and Ukraine national team Nations League matches.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has commented on the team's medical situation and provided an updated timeline for several players returning from injuries. The Italian specialist paid special attention to Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk, whose recovery, according to the coach, will take longer than previously anticipated. This is reported by Sport RBC.UA citing the London club's press service.

### Return Postponed to After the Break

Earlier discussions suggested Mudryk might recover in time to feature in the match against Crystal Palace. However, in his official statement, De Zerbi clearly outlined a different timeframe. „Before the international break, Tosin and Bergvall might return. Maybe not in the starting lineup against Leeds, but hopefully they will be available. Mudryk and Savio — after the international break,“ the Italian was quoted as saying by the official Spurs website. Thus, the Ukrainian's return to action is pushed back to the period following the international break.

### Chelsea Loan and First Injury

To recap, Mykhailo Mudryk joined Tottenham in September 2026 on loan from Chelsea, where his permanent contract runs until June 2031. For his new club, the winger has managed to play only one match — in the third round of the Premier League against Nottingham Forest (0:0), coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute. Immediately after that encounter, the Ukrainian was sidelined due to an ankle injury and has remained out of action ever since.

### What This Means for the Club and National Team

Due to the injury, Mudryk is missing not only Premier League matches but also the Ukraine national team's UEFA Nations League fixtures. The delayed return means the player will miss games until the calendar resumes after the international break. For Tottenham, this adds pressure to squad depth amidst a packed fixture schedule, while for the player himself, it means continuing his recovery under the club's medical staff supervision.
