# Deadline approaching: Ukrainians must spend 2000 hryvnias on screening by the end of June

Ukrainians over the age of 40 who received a state subsidy for preventive examinations are facing a strict deadline. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has warned that funds under the "Health Screening 40+" program must be used by June 30, 2026. Otherwise, the money will automatically return to the state budget.

The program was launched to detect the risks of developing serious diseases at an early stage. The state allocates 2000 hryvnias for a comprehensive examination. However, for those who have already received these funds, strict time limits are now in effect.

### Two scenarios for using funds

The rules for using the subsidy depend on the date the funds were credited to the account. For most participants who received the money before May 1, 2026, there is a single final deadline — June 30, 2026. After this date, the right to use the payment is annulled.

There is also a separate rule for those who submitted an application after May 1. For this category of citizens, funds are available for two months from the moment they are credited. The Ministry of Health urges not to postpone the examination until the last days to avoid losing financial support.

### Why screening is needed and where to get examined

Medical professionals emphasize the importance of preventive diagnostics. Many dangerous pathologies in the early stages are asymptomatic. Screening allows problems to be identified before complaints about well-being arise, which is critical for successful treatment.

The program can be used at one of 2089 medical institutions across the country. A list of clinics participating in the project is available on the official program portal. To undergo the examination, it is enough to choose a suitable facility and make an appointment.

Previously, access to the program was simplified: now an application can be submitted at any time after turning 40, without the mandatory 30-day waiting period. Despite the simplification of the procedure, the issue of timely use of allocated funds remains relevant for tens of thousands of Ukrainians.
