# Death of the son-in-law of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces: new data from state registries after the explosion in Moscow

New evidence has emerged in the Russian information space confirming the death of Daniil Predrya — the son-in-law of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Alexander Chaika. The information was obtained by RBC-Ukraine journalists citing data from Russian state registries.

### Documents became invalid on the day of the explosion

According to the publication "Agentstvo," one of the documents belonging to Daniil Predrya was officially declared invalid in the state database. The date of invalidation is August 1, which coincides with the date of the tragedy at the entrance to the Balzi Rossi restaurant in Moscow.

Later, the information about Predrya's death was confirmed by the Russian register of legal entities. This became the first official confirmation of the general's son-in-law's death to appear in open sources after the explosion.

### Previously, only individual sources reported the death

Before the publication of data from state registries, the death of Daniil Predrya was reported only by individual pro-Russian sources. In particular, blogger Anatoly Sharay claimed that Alexander Chaika's daughter — Maria — was injured in the explosion, and her husband, Danilo Predrya, died shielding her from shrapnel.

The publication "Verstka" also reported that the general's daughter was among the injured, citing its own source. However, these reports remained unconfirmed by official data for a long time.

### Explosion at Balzi Rossi restaurant: official data

The tragedy occurred in the evening of August 1 at the entrance to the elite Balzi Rossi restaurant, which was closed for a private event at that time. According to the official version of the Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee, an unknown woman attempted to smuggle a homemade explosive device disguised as a gift into the establishment. The device was stopped by a security guard, but it still detonated.

As a result of the explosion, five people died and 21 were injured. Among the dead, as is now confirmed, was Daniil Predrya — the son-in-law of one of Russia's highest military officials.
