The situation with fuel infrastructure in the Kharkiv region remains tense against the backdrop of ongoing hostilities. According to local authorities, Russian strikes have led to the destruction and damage of more than 80 gas stations in the region. Despite the scale of the destruction, officials deny the existence of a critical fuel shortage for the population.

### Situation on the Kharkiv — Poltava highway

The most affected section turned out to be the strategically important highway connecting Kharkiv and Poltava. Alexander Skorik, a deputy of the Kharkiv Regional Council, confirmed on the "Ranok.LIVE" TV channel that previously, on the road section passing through the settlements of Chutovo and Valky, not a single gas station was functioning.

"Indeed, in Chutovo and Valky at that time there was not a single gas station. But as of today, some of them have already resumed operations," the deputy commented on the situation.

### No systemic collapse

Despite the destruction of a significant part of the infrastructure, regional authorities state that there is no threat of a total shortage. Skorik noted that the fuel market is demonstrating resilience due to several factors:

    - Gradual restoration of the operation of damaged stations.

    - The presence of autonomous backup points at large enterprises and farms.

    - Diversification of supply logistics chains.

According to the deputy, there is currently no critical shortage of fuel or gas stations, although the situation remains dynamic.

### Recommendations for drivers

In connection with the instability of the situation on the Kharkiv — Kyiv highway, local authorities are urging motorists to exercise increased caution. Alexander Skorik strongly recommends that drivers planning a trip along the route through Valky and Chutovo refuel their vehicles in advance in large cities.

It is also recommended to have a reserve of fuel in jerry cans in case of unforeseen delays or the need to bypass damaged sections of the road. The situation with fuel supply is under the control of regional authorities, which continue to monitor the state of infrastructure and coordinate restoration work.
