A high-profile incident involving law enforcement and a media representative occurred in Kyiv. Evgen Shulhata, a journalist from the *hromadske* outlet, was detained by police officers and taken to the Territorial Recruitment and Social Adaptation Center (TRC). The event, which took place on July 27, sparked widespread resonance and raised numerous questions regarding the legality of the security forces' actions.

Consequently, he was detained and taken to the district center. The police also reported that the detainee had not passed the military-medical commission (MMC) in the established manner.

The situation was resolved only after the intervention of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights.
