# Diesel prices surge: major gas station networks in Ukraine raise fuel prices

The automotive fuel market in Ukraine showed active dynamics on Friday, July 31. Car owners accustomed to refueling at the largest networks faced a noticeable increase in the cost of diesel fuel. While prices had previously stabilized, operators reviewed their price lists upwards again at the beginning of the week.

### Record growth in the private sector

The most significant changes were recorded in the OKKO and WOG networks. The OKKO operator raised the cost of its diesel fuel types by 2 hryvnias per liter. Now, Pulls diesel costs 95.90 UAH/l, while the more affordable Euro option is 92.90 UAH/l. This is a significant change that will immediately affect the costs of logistics companies and private carriers.

Competitors from the WOG network also did not stay on the sidelines, although their move was less sharp. Premium Mustang diesel increased by 1 hryvnia, reaching 95.80 UAH/l. Standard Euro-5 diesel in this network now costs 92.80 UAH/l.

### State-owned Ukrnafta and the SOCAR network

The state-owned company Ukrnafta synchronized with market trends, raising prices on its fuel types by 2 hryvnias. Energy diesel now costs 91.90 UAH/l, and regular diesel is 89.90 UAH/l.

The SOCAR network demonstrated a different pricing strategy. The cost of gasoline and diesel fuel remained unchanged there. However, owners of gas-powered vehicles faced an increase: the price of autogas rose by 1 hryvnia to 43.90 UAH/l.

### Week in review

The current situation at gas stations confirms that diesel fuel remains the most volatile segment of the market. While gasoline prices remain stable in many networks, the cost of diesel continues to rise, following fluctuations in global markets and logistics costs.
