The upcoming G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains includes not only discussions on global challenges but also a historic meeting between two presidents. Emmanuel Macron has invited Donald Trump to a dinner at the Palace of Versailles, which will take place immediately after the official negotiations conclude.

### A Symbol of Friendship and the US Bicentennial

According to representatives of both administrations, the dinner at Versailles is timed to coincide with the 250th anniversary of US independence. Macron chose this palace as a historical symbol of Franco-American friendship, emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations. For Donald Trump, the visit to France will be a continuation of a busy week: he will arrive in Paris on Monday, June 15, immediately following the celebration of his 80th birthday in Washington.

### Key Topics of Negotiations

The summit in Évian-les-Bains will serve as a platform for discussing pressing geopolitical issues. European leaders expect to raise the topics of the war in Ukraine and the conflict surrounding Iran with Trump. This is particularly relevant given the events of last year, when the American leader was forced to leave the G7 meeting early due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East.

### Meeting with Zelenskyy

On Tuesday, June 16, the agenda includes a working session with the participation of G7 leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. However, despite the Ukrainian leader's presence at the summit, a representative of the Trump administration clarified that a separate bilateral meeting between the US and Ukrainian presidents is not currently planned.
