# Dollar and Euro Plummet: Where is the Best Exchange Rate in Ukrainian Banks Today

The Ukrainian currency market continues to demonstrate a downward trend. Against the backdrop of the decline in the official rate of the National Bank, the US dollar and the European euro have begun to lose ground in exchange offices and bank tellers. For citizens, this means that the cost of foreign currency in hryvnia has become lower, while for exporters and holders of foreign currency savings — it presents an opportunity to receive more national currency when selling.

### General Picture: Decline in Average Rates

According to Minfin monitoring data, the average dollar rate in the country's exchange offices has decreased. Today, the average asking price for purchasing American currency is 44.95 hryvnias (a drop of 5 kopecks), while the selling offer is 44.85 hryvnias (also minus 5 kopecks).

The Euro demonstrates an even more noticeable decline. The average purchase rate is 51.65 hryvnias (minus 25 kopecks), and the selling rate is 51.40 hryvnias (minus 30 kopecks).

The dynamics in the banking sector are similar. The average bank purchase rate for the dollar has fallen to 44.63 hryvnias (-6 kopecks), and the selling rate to 45.12 hryvnias (-5 kopecks). Banks are ready to buy the Euro at an average of 50.89 hryvnias (-23 kopecks), and sell it at 51.83 hryvnias (-5 kopecks).

### Situation in Leading Banks

Most major financial institutions have revised their rates downwards. Let's examine how the "price tags" have changed in popular banks.

**PrivatBank** lowered the cost of the dollar in branches to 45.00 UAH (-10 kopecks), and for card operations — to 45.04 UAH (-20 kopecks). The Euro in tellers costs 51.50 UAH (-25 kopecks), and in apps — 51.54 UAH (-27 kopecks).

**Oschadbank** showed divergent dynamics for cash and cards. In the app, the dollar is sold for 45.20 UAH (+15 kopecks), whereas for card operations, the rate dropped to 45.10 UAH (-15 kopecks). The Euro in "Mobile Oschad" became cheaper at 51.75 UAH (-5 kopecks), and the card rate fell to 51.60 UAH (-35 kopecks).

**PUMB** maintained stability in dollar sales: the commercial rate remained at 45.10 UAH, and in tellers — 45.30 UAH. However, the Euro became cheaper in branches at 52.00 UAH (-10 kopecks).

**Monobank** lowered the dollar selling rate to 45.04 UAH (-15 kopecks), and the purchase rate to 44.60 UAH (-10 kopecks). The bank offers the Euro at 51.53 UAH (-21 kopecks), and buys it at 50.83 UAH (-22 kopecks).
