Following a brief and minor decline last week, both key global currencies demonstrated steady growth against the Ukrainian hryvnia. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the US dollar exchange rate for October 12 is set at 44.88 UAH. Compared to the previous figures from October 9, when the American currency was valued at 44.85 UAH, the increase amounted to 3 kopecks. At the same time, the European currency showed a more dynamic growth: the official euro exchange rate increased by 18 kopecks at once. If on October 9 the euro cost 50.13 UAH, for Monday the regulator fixed the rate at 50.31 UAH. Experts attribute this difference in dynamics to cross-rate fluctuations in global markets.
