# Dollar breaks the 45 hryvnia mark: how exchange rates have changed in Ukrainian banks

At the beginning of the week, a new wave of changes was recorded in the Ukrainian foreign exchange market. Banks and exchange points adjusted their rates: the US dollar continues its steady growth, while the euro, after a temporary decline, has started to rise again.

### Average market indicators

According to Minfin service data, the average dollar rate in exchange points has increased significantly. Today, the average cost of buying American currency is 44.55 hryvnias (an increase of 15 kopecks), while the selling rate is 44.40 hryvnias (an increase of 17 kopecks).

The euro has also returned to an upward trend. The average buying rate increased to 51.87 hryvnias (+15 kopecks), and the selling rate to 51.65 hryvnias (+20 kopecks).

### Rates in major banks

In most major financial institutions, the dollar continues to rise. The dynamics of the euro vary across different banks: in some it is rising, while in others a decrease is recorded.

**PrivatBank** raised the dollar price in branches to 44.85 hryvnias (+30 kopecks), and the card rate to 44.84 hryvnias (+20 kopecks). The euro in cash desks costs 51.90 hryvnias (+20 kopecks), and for cards — 52.08 hryvnias (+27 kopecks).

**Oschadbank** raised the dollar rate in the "Mobile Oschad" app to 44.85 hryvnias (+40 kopecks), and for card operations to 44.95 hryvnias (+30 kopecks). Unlike the dollar, the euro in the app became cheaper at 51.80 hryvnias (-5 kopecks), and the card rate dropped to 51.90 hryvnias (-15 kopecks).

**PUMB** was the first among major players to cross the psychological mark of 45 hryvnias for a dollar. In cash desks, the bank sells currency at 45.00 hryvnias (+30 kopecks), and at the commercial rate — at 44.80 hryvnias (+30 kopecks). The euro in this bank is valued at 52.10 hryvnias (+10 kopecks).

**Monobank** also raised the dollar rate to 44.83 hryvnias (+20 kopecks). The euro in the app costs 52.05 hryvnias (+35 kopecks).

### Where is it more profitable to buy or sell currency

For those planning an exchange, the following data is relevant:

- **Buying dollars:** the most favorable conditions are offered by Oschadbank and PrivatBank — at 44.85 UAH. In Monobank, the rate is 44.83 UAH, and in PUMB at the commercial rate — 44.80 UAH.

- **Buying euros:** the currency can be purchased cheapest in Oschadbank — for 51.80 UAH. In PrivatBank, the rate is 51.90 UAH.

- **Selling dollars:** the best rate is offered by Monobank — 44.43 UAH. PUMB and Oschadbank buy currency at 44.40 UAH.

- **Selling euros:** it is most profitable to sell in Monobank — at 51.35 UAH. In PUMB, the buying rate is 51.40 UAH, and in Oschadbank — 51.20 UAH.
