Significant changes are observed in the Ukrainian currency market. As of Friday, July 3, 2026, the country's largest banks have updated their foreign exchange rates. The main event of the day was the decline in the dollar selling rate at PrivatBank, while rates at Oschadbank remained at the previous level.

For many citizens planning exchange operations, the question becomes relevant: where is it currently more profitable to buy and sell currency? We analyzed data from the two largest state banks to provide a complete picture of the situation.

### PrivatBank: decline in the dollar rate

PrivatBank has reduced the cost of the American currency. In branch cash desks, the dollar selling rate was 44.85 hryvnias, and the buying rate was 44.25 hryvnias. The difference between buying and selling at the cash desk is 60 kopecks.

Operations via bank card also show a decline. When buying a dollar with a card, the client will have to pay 44.84 hryvnias, which is a kopeck cheaper than the cash desk rate. At the same time, exchanging currency via terminals or apps is more profitable: the card buying rate is 44.40 hryvnias.

The situation with the European currency is as follows: in branches, the euro can be bought for 51.50 hryvnias and sold for 50.50 hryvnias. When using a card, the euro buying rate is 51.54 hryvnias, and the selling rate is 50.85 hryvnias.

### Oschadbank: stability at the 45 hryvnia level

At Oschadbank, the dollar rate remained unchanged compared to previous days. In the mobile app, American currency can be bought for 45 hryvnias and sold for 44.65 hryvnias. Card operations are slightly more expensive: buying costs 45.10 hryvnias, and selling is 44.60 hryvnias.

Euro quotes at Oschadbank also remained stable. In the mobile app, the buying rate is 51.55 hryvnias, and the selling rate is 51 hryvnias. When using a card, the euro buying rate is 51.65 hryvnias, and the selling rate is 50.95 hryvnias.

### Where is it more profitable to exchange currency?

Comparing data from the two banks, the following conclusions can be drawn:

    - **Buying dollars:** PrivatBank offers a lower rate both at the cash desk (44.85 UAH) and via card (44.84 UAH), while at Oschadbank the price is 45.00–45.10 UAH.

    - **Selling dollars:** It is more profitable to sell currency at PrivatBank via card (44.40 UAH) than at Oschadbank (44.60–44.65 UAH).

    - **Euro:** The difference in buying and selling rates between banks is minimal, but PrivatBank generally offers slightly lower prices for buying euros.

Thus, for those planning to buy dollars, PrivatBank is currently the more profitable option. However, it should be noted that rates may change during the day, and it is recommended to check current data in the bank app before making a transaction.
