# Dollar in Ukraine rises again: bank rate crosses 45 hryvnias mark

The currency market in Ukraine continues to show upward momentum. As of July 14, the average selling rate of the US dollar in the country's banking sector crossed an important psychological mark of 45 hryvnias. The euro is also following the American currency, showing a steady increase in value.

### Situation in the currency market

According to data from the Minfin service, morning quotes on July 14 record an increase in demand for foreign currency. In exchange offices, the average buying rate for the dollar was 44.80 hryvnias (+20 kopecks), and the selling rate was 44.65 hryvnias (+14 kopecks). The euro in exchange offices rose to 51.40 hryvnias for buying and 51.15 hryvnias for selling.

The banking sector shows even higher figures. The average selling rate of the dollar in banks reached 45.04 hryvnias (+29 kopecks), while the buying rate was 44.51 hryvnias. The euro on average costs 51.48 hryvnias for buying and 50.81 hryvnias for selling.

### Rates in leading banks

The country's largest financial institutions have adjusted their tariffs upwards. In PrivatBank, the cash selling rate for the dollar is 44.99 hryvnias, while for cardholders it is 45.04 hryvnias. The euro in bank branches can be purchased for 51.55 hryvnias, and via card — for 51.54 hryvnias.

Oschadbank has also updated its quotes: in the mobile app, the dollar rose to 44.95 hryvnias, and via card it costs 44.99 hryvnias. The euro in the bank's mobile service is valued at 51.50 hryvnias, and when paying by card — at 51.60 hryvnias.

At PUMB, the cash selling rate for the dollar reached 45.10 hryvnias, while via card it is 44.90 hryvnias. The euro in the cash desks of this bank is sold for 51.70 hryvnias. Monobank offers dollars at 44.90 hryvnias, and euros — at 51.53 hryvnias.

### Where is it more profitable to buy currency

An analysis of current offers shows that the most attractive conditions for buying dollars are currently offered by Monobank (44.90 hryvnias). As for the euro, the most favorable rate was recorded in the Oschadbank mobile app — 51.50 hryvnias.

The rise in currency rates indicates the current state of supply and demand in the market. Financial experts remind that these quotes may change during the day.
