Billionaire and Tesla founder Elon Musk, in an interview with The Economist, expressed the opinion that a complete withdrawal of Russian troops from the occupied territories of Ukraine is an unrealistic scenario. According to him, ending the conflict requires a pragmatic approach and reaching a peace agreement.

### Front line and human casualties

During the conversation, Musk drew attention to the stability of the situation on the battlefield. He noted that for the past two to three years, the front line has hardly changed, yet this has not stopped the loss of life. The billionaire expressed concern that this story could continue for several more years and emphasized the need to find a way out of this situation.

### Criticism of the diplomatic approach

Musk criticized the actions of some high-ranking diplomats. He stated that he is puzzled by the behavior of those who hold lavish dinners in expensive places and talk about a complete withdrawal of Russian troops, while fighting continues on the front lines and people are dying.

"As I see it, many here are mistaking wishful thinking for reality, saying: 'Well, Russia must completely withdraw its troops' and so on. But that is unrealistic," RBC-Ukraine quotes Musk as saying.

The billionaire's main thesis is that Russia does not plan to withdraw its troops, so continuing the war in its current format is inadvisable.
