## 🎯 Key Points

- The European Union will allocate about 3 billion euros in military support to Ukraine next week
- Previously, Ukraine received a defense tranche from the EU amounting to 1.24 billion euros
- Russian troops launched strikes on energy facilities in Kyiv and the Kharkiv region
- The attacks occurred after statements regarding an energy ceasefire

Next week, Ukraine will receive another large-scale military support package from the European Union worth approximately 3 billion euros. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following telephone negotiations with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, emphasizing the critical importance of this funding for the state's defense capabilities amid ongoing escalation.

### Details of the Phone Call and EU Tranches

During the conversation, the Ukrainian leader expressed sincere gratitude to the EU leadership for the prompt arrival of the previous tranche of 1.24 billion euros, which was directed exclusively towards Ukraine's defense needs. The Head of the European Commission confirmed Brussels' intention to continue uninterrupted financing, sending the next 3 billion euros as early as next week. According to Zelenskyy, these funds will serve as a powerful tool to strengthen the positions of defense forces on the frontline.### Energy Terror and Infrastructure Strikes

A separate topic of discussion was the massive attacks by Russian troops on critical objects of Ukraine's energy sector. The President informed Ursula von der Leyen about recent drone strikes on a power plant in Kyiv, which led to large-scale power outages in the capital, as well as subsequent bombings of energy facilities in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian side emphasizes the cynical nature of these strikes, carried out immediately after US statements about an energy truce.### Contradictory Data

While official Kyiv and European sources confirm the allocation of new billion-dollar support packages and highlight ongoing shelling of energy infrastructure, international analysts and some Western media point to certain diplomatic disagreements among partners. In particular, the expert community is discussing the real effectiveness of the previously announced “energy ceasefire” and the fulfillment of obligations by the parties against the backdrop of ongoing hostilities.

### Significance of International Support

In the current realities, the leadership of Ukraine continues to insist that reliable and timely assistance from European and Western allies is the main guarantor of the country's survival. Financial and material injections allow not only to patch holes in the destroyed energy sector, but also demonstrate the Kremlin's inability to break the will of the Ukrainian people to resist.
