# Excellent health and new doubts: what Trump's medical report hides and his plans for 2028

The White House has released a detailed memorandum with the results of Donald Trump's latest medical examination. The document, the third in the last 13 months, confirms that the 80-year-old president is in excellent shape, despite some external signs of aging and minor injuries.

### Physical condition: swelling and bruises

According to the official report, the functioning of the head of state's heart, lungs, and nervous system is rated as good. Doctors concluded that Trump is "fully fit to perform all duties" of the president. However, the document did not go without mentioning specific physical symptoms.

Medics recorded "mild swelling of the lower leg," noting an improvement compared to last year. The report also details bruises on the hands. Doctors called them "common" and "benign," linking the appearance of hematomas to frequent handshakes and the use of aspirin for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. According to the doctors, this corresponds to minor irritation of the soft tissues.

### Mental health and recommendations

Trump underwent a comprehensive neurological examination, the results of which showed a normal mental state. The screening confirmed the absence of signs of depression or anxiety. Despite the positive conclusions, doctors gave a number of preventive recommendations: review nutrition, continue taking low-dose aspirin, increase physical activity, and continue weight loss.

Some questions remain in the report. In particular, the reason for the skin treatment on the neck carried out in March is not explained, and there is no information about the repeat MRI that was done in October.

### Search for a successor: Vance vs. Rubio

Alongside the medical news, information about political changes within the administration has leaked to the press. Donald Trump, who will turn 80 on June 14, has begun to doubt Vice President JD Vance's ability to continue his political legacy in the 2028 elections.

The media reports that the president has begun comparing Vance with other potential successors, in particular with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. At private meetings, Trump conducts a kind of "loyalty polls," asking allies and guests who they see as the best candidate for the next term. This becomes the fourth medical examination during his second presidency, highlighting the attention to the health of the oldest person in history elected to this post.
