The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for Wednesday, June 24. Compared to the previous day, the US dollar and the euro are showing a decrease in value against the national currency. Experts and analysts note that even minor fluctuations in exchange rates are significant for the market and the population.

### Dollar and euro have become cheaper

According to official data from the regulator, the US dollar rate for tomorrow is set at 44.88 hryvnias. This is 2 kopecks lower than the figure for the current day. Although the decline appears insignificant, it reflects the current dynamics in the foreign exchange market.

The European currency is also showing a decline. The official exchange rate for the euro on June 24 was 51.10 hryvnias. Compared to today, the euro has become cheaper by 31 kopecks. These changes will be reflected in the cash operations of banks and exchange offices.

### New rules for terminals: what will change in 2026

In addition to current exchange rate changes, the regulator has announced important innovations in the field of cashless payments that will affect all users of ATMs and terminals. From June 26, 2026, the procedure for depositing cash through terminals will become stricter.

The main change is the mandatory confirmation of the transaction via a phone number. This rule will apply regardless of the top-up amount. Previously, such measures were often applied only to large transfers, but now they will become the standard for all operations.

### How the confirmation system will work

The account top-up process will become two-step. To complete the transaction, the user will need to enter a one-time password. This code will be sent via SMS or during an automated call to the registered phone number.

In addition, the account owner's phone number will be indicated directly on the transaction receipt. This innovation is designed to increase the transparency of financial operations and strengthen control over the movement of cash funds.
