Powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv, recorded by residents of the capital immediately after the air raid siren. City authorities and emergency services confirm the active operation of air defense systems over the Ukrainian capital.

### Situation in the Capital

As reported by RBC-Ukraine correspondents, the sounds of explosions became clearly audible in the city almost instantly after the air raid alert was announced. Prior to this, the Air Force of Ukraine had warned about several targets approaching Kyiv, requiring the immediate readiness of air defense forces.

### City Hall Response

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko promptly commented on the situation on social media. In his message, he confirmed the fact of explosions and the operation of anti-aircraft systems, strongly urging citizens to follow safety rules.

"Explosions in the city. Air defense forces are working in the capital. Stay in shelters," wrote the city head, emphasizing the need to remain in safe places until the alert is canceled.
