On Saturday, July 11, powerful explosions rocked Kyiv. The incident occurred at night, before the city had been warned by an official air raid siren. The sudden blasts caught residents off guard, but emergency services responded to the incident promptly.

### "The Enemy is Attacking with Missiles"

Timur Tkachenko, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), confirmed the nature of the attack. In his statement, he warned citizens that the capital was under missile attack and strongly recommended staying in safe locations.

The Ukrainian Air Force also detected a number of missiles heading towards Kyiv. This confirms the scale and seriousness of the threat the city faced that night.

### Strikes on City Districts

Initial reports on the consequences of the attack came from several administrative districts of the capital. According to the KMVA, civilian objects sustained damage:

    - **Dniprovskyi District:** Damage to a non-residential building was recorded.

    - **Sviatoshynskyi District:** Another non-residential building was damaged as a result of the explosion.

    - **Solomianskyi District:** Fire broke out in an office building here. Emergency service workers have already arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.

    - **Desyanskyi District:** Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported a fire at a transformer station. The district's energy infrastructure was hit.

### Context of Escalation

The night attack on July 11 was not an isolated incident. This is already the second such attempt to strike the capital this week. On the night of July 8, explosions were also heard in Kyiv before the alarm was declared — at that time, the enemy used ballistic missiles.

In recent months, the intensity of strikes on Kyiv has increased significantly, especially starting from July. The largest combined attack took place on the night of July 6, when the enemy used drones and various types of missiles. At that time, Kyiv, the region, and the settlement of Vishneve in the Bucha district suffered the most destruction.

Currently, rescuers and firefighters are working at the impact sites to assess the damage and eliminate the consequences of the explosions. The situation in the city remains tense.
