## 🎯 Key Points

- The Netherlands will provide assistance to enhance the operation of F-16 fighter jets.
- F-16s effectively shoot down Russian jet drones.
- Steps to protect critical infrastructure and strengthen air defense were discussed.
- Belgium is preparing to transfer three more F-16 fighters to Ukraine with France's consent.

The Netherlands will continue to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine, focusing on enhancing the efficiency of F-16 fighter jets and protecting critical infrastructure. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following talks with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten. Strengthening Ukraine's air defense system remains a key priority amid regular aerial attacks.

### The Role of F-16 Fighter Jets in Repelling Attacks

The head of state emphasized that the F-16 aircraft transferred by the Netherlands are demonstrating high efficiency in the skies. According to him, a significant percentage of the destruction of enemy jet drones, including Shahed-type modifications, is ensured by these Western fighters. During the dialogue, the parties discussed in detail the technical capabilities for uninterrupted support of the aircraft operations and the supply of necessary equipment.

### International Contacts and Trilateral Format

Furthermore, during the conversation, the Ukrainian leader informed the head of the Dutch government about ongoing contacts with American partners. The possibility of organizing meetings in a trilateral format at the technical level between Ukraine, the US, and Russia was discussed. The president noted the importance of formulating realistic proposals capable of genuinely bringing peace closer.

### Contradictory Data

Despite the high efficiency of using F-16s for intercepting air targets, discussions periodically arise in the media space and official reports regarding the logistics and maintenance of the aircraft fleet. Some experts and politicians point out that a certain share of fighter jets has spent a long time undergoing scheduled repairs and maintenance in European Union countries, which temporarily reduces the total number of combat-ready jets on duty. At the same time, the military leadership and international partners are working on accelerating repair procedures and supplying spare parts.

### Prospects for Strengthening Ukrainian Aviation

In parallel with Dutch assistance, new initiatives are emerging from other European states. In particular, Belgium is preparing in the near future to approve the transfer of three more F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. This procedure requires additional legal and technical coordination with France because specialized French electronic warfare systems are installed on board. All these steps combined are designed to form a reliable air shield.
