Ferrari's history is being rewritten. The Italian giant, which for decades held the reins exclusively to gasoline monsters, has officially unveiled its first fully electric vehicle — the Luce. This is not just another attempt to jump on the trend, but an ambitious project where racing DNA intertwines with futuristic minimalism.

The main secret to the model's success lies in the authorship of its design. The styling was handled by Jony Ive, the legendary former head designer of Apple, who created the aesthetics of the iPhone and MacBook. His studio, LoveFrom, endowed the Ferrari Luce with clean lines, eliminating the usual aggressive indentations in favor of aerodynamic smoothness. The result is a four-door hatchback that looks simultaneously retro and futuristic.

Under the hood lies power worthy of a sports brand. Four electric motors, one on each wheel, deliver a combined 1050 horsepower. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 2.5 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 310 km/h. The range is 530 kilometers, allowing for comfortable use on long trips.

Inside reigns the philosophy of "digital retro." Instead of the endless touchscreens characteristic of modern EVs, engineers have returned physical buttons and analog dials, coexisting with the multimedia system. The cabin is designed for five passengers, making the Luce a practical family coupe.

### Sustainability and Production Philosophy

Ferrari is betting not only on the absence of an exhaust pipe. The company claims a 70% reduction in its carbon footprint during production thanks to the use of recycled aluminum. This is a serious step for a brand that has always prioritized speed over ecology.

The marketing strategy has also undergone changes. Enrico Galliera, the marketing director, admitted to the Financial Times that the Luce is targeted at garage owners who already own an EV. It is a niche product for those who value exclusivity and are willing to pay for it.

### Price and Market

The cost of the new model is 550,000 euros. This is a premium segment where competition is minimal, but demand is high. Against the backdrop of rising EV sales in the European Union (up 25% in early 2025 compared to the previous year), the Ferrari Luce fits into a growing trend, despite the overall decline in the new car market.

However, the mass consumer remains skeptical: almost half of Germans consider EVs too expensive, and many fear a lack of charging stations. But for Ferrari owners, accustomed to exclusivity, these barriers do not matter. The Luce is not just a car; it is a manifesto of a new era.
